Whats this website?

Following up from the homepage, this site is dedicated to my current favorite shipping dynamic... selfcest!

Despite it's name, it has little do to with incest...unless you prefer to make it that, but most people I know rather not hurt their head trying to realistically imagine a character dating themselves. I get it, -cest is a strange sufffix most negatively associated with the word "Incest" but defined, -cest simply reffers to a relationship or close-knitted activity. Regardless, the internet has made a ton of other awesome terms that are just as acceptable (if not more, depending on who you talk to) like Mirror shipping...or straight up masturbating.

What is Selfcest?

Selfcest can be from the main character of your favorite anime falling in love with the gender-bent version of themselves to two seperate characters sharing one mind, literally. Theres no set rule for how to properly pull off selfcest, especially when plenty of people rather just see it as Twincest.

Why?

I've been this way since the Undertale, 2016 fandom when half of the ships consisted of Sans and an alternate version of himself. At the time, I loved Blueberry X Underfell sans...and I could only recognize patterns from then. I also miss when fandoms held space for crackships or any ironic shipping, it's fun! Recently, I've been huge into tf2 and though I'm a huge Support Class main regardless, Spy is the apple of my eye...so why not ship him with himself?
